Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is comprised
of five members for a five year term. The ZBA
must follow specific statutory requirements contained
in the Village Code. The ZBA is only authorized
to hear appeals from a decision made by the Building
Department who issues permits and/or enforces
zoning.

Planning Board
The Planning Board is comprised of five members
with a five-year term who are appointed by the
mayor subject to the approval of the Board of
Trustees. The function of the Planning Board is
to advise the Mayor and the Board of Trustees
in such matters as: site plans, subdivisions,
special use permits, zoning amendments or other
development approvals.

Architectural Review Board
The Architectural Review Board is comprised of
five members that are appointed by the Mayor and
approved by the Village Board of Trustees for
a term of three years. At least one member of
the ARB must have an architectural background.
The Purpose of the Architectural Review Board
is to advise and assist village officials and
agencies in administering Chapters 75 and 77 of
the Village Code. They also participate in site
plan approval and procedures as set forth in Chapter
79 of the Village Code and they give advice on
architectural questions upon the request of the
Village Board of Trustees or its designees.
