Notice to all Contractors: Electrical, Plumbing, Oil Permits

	Electrical Permits Plumbing Permits Oil Tank Abandonment, Removal, and New Oil Tank Installation Permits All such persons who engage in the above listed work must file a "COMPLETE" application in person at the Village of Pelham Building Department, located in Pelham Village Hall. No applications will be accepted via mail or if left at Village Hall. They must first examined by the Building Inspector before accepting the application. All such application forms must include all required information. No permit will be accepted and processed unless properly submitted wit hall attachments. For all permits an insurance certificate must accompany the application. The certificate must show liability coverage and workers compensation. The insurance certificates must show the Village of Pelham as certificate holder and additional insured. All such certificates must be submitted for each new permit. Electricians and Plumbers must have a currently valid photo ID issued by Westchester County. Tank abandonment and removal permits must have same insurance as above. These also must have a property site plan of location of UST subject of permit. Any installation of new oil storage tanks must have location in or out of building, also information regarding the tank from the manufacturer. Prior to excavation in conjunction with any permit the applicant must obtain a Code 53, to locate all underground utilities. For tank abandonment and removals all applicants must set up an inspection for the tank removals/installations with the Fire Inspector at 914-738-2601. Time to file is between 9am and 11am Mon-Fri at the Village of Pelham Building Department, located at Village Hall. While this time has been set aside for this process, please call ahead in order to ensure that the Building Inspector is in the office. Please do not leave applications with any one other than the Building Inspector. The benefit of this procedure is that all applications submitted properly as per the above instructions will be issued within a few minutes at the time they are personally submitted to the Building Inspector.
