Healthy Yards originated in 2018 as part of the Bedford 2020 Land Use Task Force to help homeowners, landscapers, and municipalities change from harmful yard practices, which produce greenhouse gases and endanger wildlife, to healthier regenerative landscaping practices that foster biodiversity. Healthy Yards also encourages and supports independent grassroots activities. Volunteers organize workshops, events, meetings, garden tours, garden visits, and an annual Earth Day Festival.
Pelham Healthy Yards aims to work on a local level to provide information through education outreach on ways to create beautiful healthy Yards in our neighborhood, community, and public land with simple steps.
